EVA Air, based in Taiwan, is seeking type-rated and non-type-rated first officers for four-year renewable contracts.
Requirements
Flight Hours: 2,000+ hours with 500+ hours multi-engine, multicrew jet, MTOW greater than 20 tons OR 1,500+ hours with 1,000+ hours multi-engine, multicrew jet, MTOW greater than 20 tons
Additional Requirements:
- 400+ hours copilot experience in civil aviation
- Five years of aviation employment reference OR two years for Bachelor (or higher) degree holders
- Valid ICAO ATPL, JAA ATPL(A), or FAA ATPL with first class medical certificate (no limitations)
- ICAO Level 4 or above English proficiency
- Class A/Class One medical certificate
- No flight incidents/accidents or criminal record
- U.S. visitors visa, C1D, or U.S. visa-free citizen status
Compensation
Annual Salary: NT$2,832,000–NT$2,868,000 (based on 75 hours) plus bonus and per diem (approximately $94,400–$95,600 USD)
Basic Monthly Salary: NT$239,000 (type-rated), NT$236,000 (non-type-rated)
Per Diem: $3.50 USD per duty hour
Days Off: Eight days off per month (non-commuting) or 116–117 days per year (commuting)
Annual Leave: 22–42 calendar days per year
BENEFITS
Medical leave up to 30 days per year with pay, National Health Insurance, accident insurance up to 45 months salary, loss of license insurance, company accommodation or housing allowance, air cargo rebate, and travel benefits.

On the effective date of the furlough, the United MEC implemented Section 21-R of the United Pilot Agreement: "Subject to other legal obligations, the Company shall make reasonable efforts to fill Pilot vacancies with the individuals who satisfy United’s hiring standards, who have previously worked for carriers represented by ALPA, and who are no longer working for those carriers for economic reasons such as lay-offs or the shutdown of that carrier." The Spirit MEC provided and will continue to provide an official list of furloughed members to the United MEC. This language operates internally at United once a furloughed member has applied. Pilots must have an application on file at the date of the furlough.

Wizz Air Opportunities for U.S., Canadian, Australian, and New Zealand Citizens
Recently, Wizz Air determined that Canadian, Australian, and New Zealanders, aged 18-35 have an opportunity to apply on a youth mobility visa, with no other links to the U.K. Successful applicants are permitted to stay for 3 years and, upon upgrade to Captain (which must occur within those 3 years), pilots are able to convert to a skilled worker visa. The skilled worker visa lasts 5 years, at which time the pilot is eligible to apply for U.K. citizenship. This program is in addition to the ongoing program available for U.S. citizens.
